What is the Income Tax Return?
The Income Tax Return is an annual procedure to regularize the tax situation with the Tax Agency. The IRPF is a direct and progressive tax, which must be paid by all citizens to the Tax Agency, for the income obtained during the year.
Is it compulsory to make the Income Tax Return?
All individuals resident in Spain who are self-employed or employed, or any taxpayer who has had income during the fiscal year, are obliged to file the Income Tax Return whenever they exceed certain thresholds.

Until when do I have to file the tax return?
All workers who are obliged to file the income tax return have deadlines between April and June 29, 2023, depending on the method you choose.
How can I file?
To file your income tax return you have several options:
-On the Internet: On the website of the Tax Agency , access the IRPF draft of the RENTA WEB system. With this option you have time to file it from April 11 to June 30 of the current year;
-By telephone: for the telephone filing you have to request an appointment at one of the numbers 901 121 224 or 915 357 326 and the deadline is from May 3 to June 29;
-Presencially: the in-person filing also needs to request appointment by phone in advance and then you have to go to the Tax office on the day of the appointment to present all the necessary documentation. The deadline is from May 25 to June 29.
